I’m Kristen Watson — designer, cabinetry specialist, and the person behind KD Design. I help homeowners and builders bring beauty and function to the heart of the home through thoughtful, cabinetry-focused design.
With a background in kitchen and interior design, I’ve seen firsthand how good cabinetry can change the way a home feels — and how it works. It’s where form and function meet. It’s where your day begins and ends. And it’s often where people gather, connect, and live.
My approach starts with listening — understanding how you live, what matters most, and how your space needs to perform. From there, I design layouts and select materials that feel warm, cohesive, and intentional. Whether I’m helping with a full kitchen design, a custom mudroom, or guiding finish selections across the entire home, I’m focused on details that make everyday living easier and more beautiful.
At the end of the day, great design isn’t about trends — it’s about creating spaces that feel like they fit. That’s what I love helping clients discover.

I share my home with two sweet dogs, Coco and Cali, and one very sassy cat named Boujee.
I’m a proud mom to two amazing kids — Mason (13) and Emma (23) — who keep life full and inspiring.
